Hosted by local radio station WUNC at the American Tobacco Campus, this summer concert series gives you eight opportunities to enjoy fantastic music for free this summer!

Music on the LawnThis Music on the Lawn hosts a variety of musicians from the Durham area and throughout the Southeast. Their styles range from bluegrass to gospel to Americana and all are perfectly suited to be enjoyed outside on a perfect summer evening. In order to enjoy that perfect evening, you’ll want to head over to the American Tobacco Campus early to ensure that you get the perfect spot on the lawn beneath the Lucky Strike tower. Music on the Lawn returns to the stage beneath that iconic structure this summer.

And since you’ll be spending some time inside the American Tobacco Campus you may want to take the opportunity to enjoy dinner at some of Durham’s best restaurants. Tyler’s Taproom offers a wide variety of craft beers that can be enjoyed on their patio and the Mellow Mushroom offers an ideal perfect friendly dinner-setting. Do Not Miss Durham’s Donuts!

Durham, NCTopping the charts is something that Durham has gotten pretty good at. We’re known for having some of the nation’s best restaurants, best universities, best sports teams, and now some of the best donuts! We have to say that we do a pretty delicious breakfast here at the Arrowhead Inn, but we would be remiss if we didn’t suggest that you go snag a bag of Monuts Donuts as say, a breakfast dessert!

Featured among Thrillist’s 21 Best Donut Shops in America Monuts has become well loved for their exotic flavors of both yeast and cake donuts (it’s a good idea to grab at least one of each) so you’ll have to let us know which flavor is your favorite. Like those at Thrillist we’re big fans of the chocolate chai and strawberry buttermilk. And since strawberry season is on its way (more on that next week!) a donut may be the perfect way to enjoy a delicious spring time treat!

So while you won’t want to miss some of Durham’s best restaurants don’t overlook the opportunity to get your hands on some of the nation’s best donuts. We bet that you won’t be able to have just one!
