The Durham History Hub Opens a Gateway to Durham’s Past

Opened to the public just two weeks ago, the Durham History Hub brings the past alive with stories about the Bull City. This interactive exhibit space chronicles the monumental events, people, and places that have helped to make Durham the unique and wonderful city it is today. Located in the heart of downtown, just a quick drive from our Durham, NC bed and breakfast, the museum is situated right in the midst of much of the history that it has helped preserve. Its central location also provides you with the opportunity to head downtown to enjoy some of the restaurants that are helping to 
create a delicious legacy for Durham, the Tastiest Town in the South.

If you’re a history buff you won’t want to miss the other museums in the area. If you’re looking to get into the Halloween spirit this October book a night or two at our Durham bed and breakfast soon! Throughout the month you’ll be able hear ghost stories and Durham folklore while exploring paranormal sites such as the  Bull Durham Factory, Kress Store Building, Devil’s Teacher, Hotel Malbourne, Snow Building, and the Liggett-Myers Factory on the Durham Dark and Mysterious Ghost Walk led by Tobacco Road Tours. This family friendly tour covers 1.5 miles in downtown Durham and tickets can be purchased online. Tobacco Road also hosts a special adults only, Pub Crawl and Haunted Adventure tour which includes paranormal adventures AND beer at four of Durham’s best bars. If ghosts aren’t your idea of a good time, check out the Pumpkin Patch Express at the NC Museum of Life and Science. This event runs each weekend in October and features a pumpkin patch and educational activities amid the Museum’s 80 acres of outdoor exhibits. The Beauty of Porsche at the North Carolina Museum of Art
