Big Screen Stars beneath the Stars! Catch an Outdoor Cinema Durham NC


Durham’s warm summer nights provide the perfect backdrop to your favorite films, so head outside to catch the recent blockbusters as well as some of the classics in these spots around the Triangle.


The Rock the Park Movie Series presents a variety of films for cinema Durham, NC fans of all ages at Durham Central Park. Feel free to bring along your blanket and maybe even a picnic basket, packed just for you by Chef Phil! This would be a great opportunity for you to catch up with family and friends or to just enjoy time with your special someone under the stars!

The Koka Booth Amphitheater in Cary will also be showing the stars beneath the stars this summer. Their Movies by Moonlight series ($3 for an adult ticket, kids 12 and under are free, gates open at 7:00pm) brings the stories on the silver screen outdoors and on to their spacious lawn surrounded by pine trees and beautiful Symphony Lake.

June Durham Events :: New Belgium Tour de Fat, Bull Fest & More!

This June you’ll have the chance to celebrate Durham’s heritage, your love for craft beer, and the tastiness of artisanal cheese! Book your stay at our luxury Durham bed and breakfast to be a part of these upcoming June events.

Bull Fest
Duke Homestead Bull FestOn Saturday, June 8th Duke Homestead is hosting a celebration of Durham’s heritage. Bull Fest will feature a craft show with local artists, visits from Wool E. Bull, and a Food Truck Rodeo. Duke Homestead is a fitting place to celebrate Durham roots as it provides a glimpse back into the early days of city, when the Duke family settled in the area. The celebration will also include costumed interpreters demonstrating the life of the family during this time, including cooking methods, games, and music.






New Belgium Tour de Fat
Tour de Fat Durham NCNew Belgium makes a some tasty brews and knows how to have a good time. On June 15th the Tour de Fat comes to Durham, for a celebration of beer and music all of which supports local nonprofits. Come dressed in your most celebratory costumes and join the bike parade and stay for the bands and beer that follow!



Artisan Cheese Fest
Cheese fest at the CookeryIf you are a self-proclaimed “fromagaholic” you cannot miss the Artisan Cheese Fest on June 29th at the Cookery. Hosted by the food truck American Meltdown, this free celebration of all things cheese, as well as charcuterie, bread, wine, and local beer, is sure to be a good time. Don’t miss the “Dueling Ricottas” cheese-making demo hosted by cheese-lovers at Toast and Triangle Raw Foods and wine tastings by Wine Authorities.
