Places to Be and Things to See Around Durham this August


It may be August already, but Durham’s summer fun is still going strong. If you’re visiting our Durham bed and breakfast in the coming month you won’t want to miss out on these exciting places to be and things to see!

Here are some of the great places to be and this to see in Durham this August!

This event kicks off at the Nasher Museum CafĂ© where you’ll enjoy appetizers before heading out to enjoy food and drinks at some of Durham’s hottest spots like Cave Taureau, Alley Twenty-Six, the Parlour, and Pizzeria Toro.

Durham’s Central Park hosts weekly events like the Farmers Market, but it’s also a great place to be because you can catch fun outdoor events like the Warehouse Blues concert series. On August 2nd you’ll want to be there to catch a performance by local talent, Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos.

The American Tobacco Historic District is a great place to be the August because it brings you all kinds of entertainment opportunities including Durham Bulls baseball games, events at the Durham Performing Arts Center, and live music as part of the Midweek Music Series.

You can see (and taste!) some of Durham’s culinary highlights this August if you join the food tours around the city the August. Check out tours hosted by Taste Carolina or the Triangle Food Tour. These tours are a great way to sample some of the delicious fare that’s helped to put Durham on the foodie map!
