Celebrate a Quarter Century of the Blues at the Bull Durham Blues Festival

For 25 years the Bull Durham Blues Festival has served a time and place to celebrate the blues. On September 7th and 8th the St. Joseph’s Historic Foundation will bring musicians from across the country together to perform at the Durham Athletic Park. These musicians will perform a variety of styles, but many are known for preserving the Carolina and Piedmont Blues style, which highlights the musical heritage of Durham.

Tickets are available for pre-purchase or on the day of the event. Visitors are asked to bring blankets, but no lawn chairs, to help protect the ball field at the Athletic Park. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy one of the country’s premier blues festivals!

  1. Great festival. I see that Marcia Ball is headlining one of the days, I used to watch her perform in my hometown of Austin, TX quite a bit, you are in for a treat. It's awesome to see a music festival turn 25, that says a lot for the hardworking promoters and acts. Looks like a great way to spend a weekend.
