Running through January 22nd the North Carolina Museum of Art will host the exhibit Rembrandt in America. This collection of nearly 50 paintings represents the largest collection of Rembrandt’s works ever presented in America. It includes examples across several genres including portraits, character studies, historical and biblical scenes and self-portraits. The exhibition focuses the history of Rembrandt collecting in America and reveals the challenge of attribution, as many works that were thought to be Rembrandt’s have been determined to be those of other artists. Make your stay at the Arrowhead Inn truly memorable and ask your innkeeper to arrange for tickets to this must-see exhibition.
