September 2011 :: North Carolina Symphony

The end of summer brings many exciting cultural and educational opportunities to the Triangle. Throughout the month guests at the Arrowhead Inn can find events related to everything from birds to beer. The North Carolina Museum of Art is displaying frames from The Birds of America, life-size prints of birds created by the American naturalist James Audubon. The museum is home to one of only about 200 remaining complete sets of this work of art.

Another local museum, the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science, is hosting the Science of Beer event on September 22nd. This event requires pre registration, and will feature lessons taught by local breweries, scientists, and home brewers. This class can give you a whole new appreciation for your favorite brew and may help you understand just what makes it so delicious.

September also marks the beginning of the North Carolina Symphony’s Fall Season. Performed in the beautiful Meymandi Hall in Raleigh, this year’s lineup includes everything from Mozart to Broadway.
