Durham Farmer's Market now open

Last weekend, the Durham Farmer's Market kicked off its Saturday summer season. Stop by on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon and enjoy great, local food.

 This marks the market's 13th season with over 50 local vendors. Each week includes a  special event by a local chef or artist.

Local author Diane Daniel will be doing a book-signing of her new travel guide book, Farm Fresh North Carolina: The Go-To Guide to Great Farmers' Markets, Farm Stands, Farms, Apple Orchards, U-Picks, Kids' Activities, Lodging, Dining, Choose-and-Cut Christmas Trees, Vineyards and Wineries, and More recently released by UNC Press.
