Immerse yourself in history for a day during your weekend stay at the Arrowhead Inn by visiting the Bennett Place, North Carolina's premier Historic Site.  April marks the 145th anniversary of the largest surrender of the American Civil War in 1865.  Join the celebration as volunteers commemorate the occasion with live reenactments and displays of the events leading up to the end of the Civil War and the beginning of the reunification of the United States.  Tour the remains of the 325 acre farm and log house and learn the complete history of the Bennett Place through audiovisual displays and exhibits in the visitor center museum.
