Duke Hosts Academy of St. Martin in the Fields

Academy of St. Martin in the Fields with Julian Rachlin
Duke University Page Auditorium
Friday, April 16
8:00pm

Widely renowned as one of the most accomplished orchestras in the world, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields will preform a one night show at Duke University's Page Auditorium.  The 20 piece orchestra that is known for its technique and grace will play a four piece program, featuring Beethoven, Schubert, Grieg and Piazolla, with Lithuanian violinist Julian Rachlin

Academy of St. Martin in the Fields was formed in 1959 as a small group of leading musicians without a conductor.  Today the Academy, though slightly larger, is known for superlative performances and award winning recordings, and continues to maintain the same spirit and flexibility of the original small orchestra.

You can buy tickets from the Duke University Box Office starting at $25.  Begin your stay at the Arrowhead Inn by joining us for an inspiring meal before your enchanting evening.
